The original picture is apparently taken from a mural. This one had rather too many pastel shades and it did become a bit of a chore after a while. I think we’d have been better to have bought a bar of Fruit and Nut instead.
Put yourself in this picture and it’s hard to decide where might be the safest place. The sky is full of aircraft and balloonists so close that they’d put an air traffic controller in a panic. One thing’s certain: a Mike Jupp picture always has a lot going on. Great fun.
Bob Pejman’s original version of this picture sold for thousands of dollars. Our version was a mere three quid. Of course, ours does keep falling out of the frame and having to be pieced back together, but that’s all part of the joy of jigsaws, ain’t it?
Lee Fearnley’s garden centre is not the kind of place to go for a relaxing afternoon pottering around the plants, but it certainly gave us puzzlers a good few days’ entertainment.
