We’ve seen lots of bats around recently doing what all good bats do, i.e., enjoying the fine summer evenings and decimating the local flying insect population too. Come 10pm or thereabouts we stop whatever we’re doing and watch them fly by, flapping their little batty wings like crazy and doing the occasional swoop and whirl about, which is presumably their way of showing off. Maybe we should hold up score cards for our favourites.
